Training in the Bujinkan (as in any martial art or warriorship training) requires great commitment. It is truly an art for tortises not hares. Part of that commitment is not just sustainable, regular training with a qualified sensei, but maintaining a connection to the lineage in a very real way. To many, like myself, that commitment means going to the source - training with Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi in Japan - EVERY year. I look foward to five main things when I go:
  • Seeing Friends
  • Practicing Japanese
  • Training with Hatsumi Sensei and the Shihan
  • Exploring and Experiencing Japan
  • Teaching with Taku Kawaguchi
I have been teaching with Taku Kawaguchi for about four years now and it has been a wonderful feeling to help bring the Tracker School's vision internationally to Japan.
