About the HNI SERIES: I
have been training and teaching for quite a few years now.
But, for the past few years - for all the things I could call
myself and what purposes and functions I serve, it only comes
down to really one thing... I have ALWAYS said in the back of my head that everything I do in my teaching and training is for the people I love and that are under my care...but, if I were gone tomorrow - what really have I left behind except a lot of things I never really shared with the people that mattered most. I teach and train in the 4 Balancers - Profiler/Scout, Provider/HunterGatherer, Protector/Warrior and Preserver/Healer for them, and no other relative purpose. Well, I'm taking my entire collection and libraries of books and video and truly making them theirs, as well as my time, attention, energy and resources. I know I am not alone in feeling this way. In fact, lineage and legacy is the way of life for all beings on this Earth, even if it is genetically. Humanity, however, has the ability to create an "external memory." And, to not do so and have the things we value so highly not passed to the next generations...is unforgivable. We sentence them to the futility of having to rediscover instead of building on foundations already in place and that we have worked our whole lives to prepare for them. If these recordings of teachings and trainings that are for me and mine are helpful to you and yours - then I do my part in helping the global community. They are first and foremost for my next generations and are rightfully so titled "Dear Jacob & AJ..." All videos bear logos and copyrights including "Denki Densho Productions" in which denki means "electric or electronic" in Japanese and densho means "scroll or written transmissions or teachings." In the process of converting old VHS to digital formats, recordings are only as good as the transfer process. Also, I have SUBTITLED just about everything said so as to minimize the amount of lost communication and understanding in the transmission of teaching. And, for those who have a hearing disability which I am becoming more aware of as me and my family learn to sign more and more. MAY

During the summer of 2005, my good friend Alex Carney who also trains with us, had a film project he was working on and asked if he could tape a training session at the Wesley Hall in Spring Lake, NJ where we usually train regularly with Jack Hoban. Since Jack and no other instructors were there...I taught. We went over INVISIBLY STORING, RELEASING & TRANSFERRING NATURAL ENERGY THROUGH THE SANSHIN AND LONG STAFF. My BUYU (Warrior Friends) Jon Haas and Josh Sager from the Bujinkan Buyu Princeton Dojo assisted me and Marc Geestman from Natural Journey was our regular uke (training friend).
