About
Joseph Lau R.N.
After
surviving numerous personal near-death experiences,
as well as the deaths of his parents, Mr. Lau studied
and trained at Tom Brown, Jr.'s Tracking, Nature and
Wilderness Survival School, and Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi's
Bujinkan Budo Dojo under the tutelage of USMC Capt.
and Bujinkan Senior Instructor Jack Hoban. It was
in training with Capt. Hoban that Mr. Lau was introduced
to Dr. Robert L. Humphrey, an Iwo Jima Marine survivor,
Cold War conflict-resolution specialist, and Joe's
primary influence in his study of Balanced/Dual-Life
Values Theory and the Natural Law Theory.
Joe
is an Emergency Department Registered Nurse at 2 hospitals,
a 13th Dan (black belt) in Dr. Hatsumi's Bujinkan
Dojo, as well as a former wilderness EMT and Senior
Instructor at the Tracker School. He is also a member
of the Emergency Nurses Association and the International
Assocation of Genocide Scholars.
As
founder of The Human Nature Institute and the Bujinkan
Buyu Shizen Ho Dojo (Natural Law Training Hall), Mr.
Lau feels he has been searching for the common themes
that permeate the greatest aspects of humanity. Mr.
Lau states that his greatest achievement is being
a father and husband.
